Are you enjoying your spring break? Perhaps you are slowly preparing for a family moment this Easter Monday with its highlight moment: the famous egg hunt, so much awaited by our toddlers.
If we know that they will probably eat a little more chocolate than normal, why not consider a little activity around this famous hunt? The weather should be great.
Here are some activity ideas for Monday:
Idea 1: Have children decorate Easter eggs
Before the arrival of the family, boil the eggs. Once, children are together, propose pencils, food colouring, paint and accessories (sponges, brushes, paper patterns …) to decorate the eggs. Let sit.
Idea 2: Organize a treasure hunt
Here is a nice way to make pleasure last. If you have some time, prepare a list of clues to get the children one egg at a time. The last egg to find could be a giant egg filled with small treats to share among all the children.
Idea 3: Eggs race
Make a ramp first, a large board with one side on a few stacked books will do. Cover it with a colourful blanket. Give a hard-boiled egg (preferably uniquely decorated) to each child. At the top start, each one at a time drops his egg. The egg that will go the furthest will see its owner win the race.
Idea 4: The spoon race
Children here must line up on a row. If possible, draw a start and finish line on the ground (or demarcate the track if you play indoors). Each child must race a tablespoon by hand, containing an egg (hard). The child who arrives first will have won the race. If the egg falls, the child can obviously pick it up.
By the way, we have hidden some eggs (from Le temps d’un chocolat in Nivelles) on the counters of our LOKABOX receptions… in case you’re around! Have fun and especially have a great end of holiday.
