The beginning of the new year is great time to look back at what we did last year. We ended 2019 with the opening of our brand-new store in Brussels. This store, situated in Forest, will be our second centre located in Brussels and can be considered our flagship store. Earlier, in August 2019, we successfully opened a new Lokabox centre in Zaventem. For the first time in our history we opened two different stores in the same year. This brings us at a total of six Lokabox stores now. Yet another great accomplishment for the Lokabox team!
Lokabox Forest, our flagship store
Seeing many customers travelling from Brussels to Zaventem to store their goods at Lokabox, we immediately realized the potential of a very big store in Brussels. Ever since the opening of Lokabox Zaventem, it became clear that people are truly lacking space in our capital city. As a result, our store in Forest is the first to have different floors. The total surface of the area can host not less than 700 units. Consequently, we are glad to announce this is now our biggest Lokabox centre in Belgium to date.
New chapter in the story of Lokabox
The new year also comes with some resolutions. In the case of Lokabox, this means a lot of opportunities. The year 2020 marks the beginning of a new chapter. We are very excited to have opened our new store in Brussels. It is truly special for us to be present in the capital city of Belgium and Europe. Our intentions for the new year are to stand even closer to our customers in Brussels. We will offer tailored storage solutions combined with our well known Lokabox-service.
Furthermore, we are glad to announce the opening of the second floor in our store in Zaventem. This allows us to meet the rising demand of storage units. The successful first months in Zaventem resulted in shortage of certain storage unit sizes. Opening the second floor will create more space for our clients and help them find the proper storage solution.
