Even if the first top use of a storage box is certainly to store furniture (most our customers are in the process of moving or renovating their home), we also count among our customers, artists of all kinds and for several reasons…
Here are some that might tickle you:
Need space, always more space
When you’re into painting, sculpture, musical animation (in other words, when you’re a DJ) or sewing … the lack of space might be felt throughout the creations. The paintings accumulate and you’re no longer able to store them. The statues become your roommates or fill the living room and you can no longer watch TV. The sometimes-very-bulky-sound-equipment becomes difficult to store at home. If it’s the case, think about a storage unit rental to store your creations. A kind of extension to your creative workshop or art studio.
Store your belongings in a safe place
Whether you’re a beginners or experienced artists, you are so emotionally attached to the fruit of your imagination.
But you have also invested a lot in your equipment. I will not advise you to rent a garage because of the lack (I can even say the total absence) of security. With a storage unit, you will keep the wolf from the door.
Preserve your work
I mentioned it above, the garage is clearly not the right option to store canvas or sound material. Self-storage will offer you the total conservation of your stored goods. As an artist, your work tools as well as your piece of art must be preserved in optimal conditions.
Save money
An art studio or workshop is a considerable cost for an artist. Not easy to find, on the one hand and still need to be able to put the price on the other hand. Rent a unit yearly and you will avoid expenses (studio rental, electricity, heating …). I therefore strongly recommend a self-storage solution as a place for storing your finished work to save space in your home and create in peace! On top of it, if you have a VAT number, it is tax deductible.
