Here we are! Kids are back to school, adults back to work. Dairies are starting to fill up. So one will have to get to work for school. Perhaps you have the advantage of being able to telework. Whether for you or your children, a tidy and comfortable workspace is ideal for working.
Here are some ideas to make your office space pleasant and conducive to productivity:
– Choose a simple desk
If it is equipped with drawers, store the maximum with a “theme” per drawer. For example, supplies will go in one drawer, white sheets or drafts in another. Install a piece of furniture or a shelf nearby to place the books, dictionaries, binders and why not some decorative objects, but not too much.
– Organize your files in storage bins
To easily access your files or documents, sort them by type. Do not hesitate to insert them in hard files all placed in vertical containers on a corner of your desk.
– Opt for good lighting
To avoid eye fatigue, carefully select a desk lamp but also a general lighting of the room. A single desk lamp in the room will wear out your eyes a lot faster because of the contrast. Depending on whether you are right-handed or left-handed, the location will obviously not be the same.
– A light wall decoration
To avoid distractions, adorn your walls with only a few frames (family photos, landscapes or leitmotiv). Hang a calendar to add important events, dates of work updates, big checks or balance sheets. If you are working on a computer, position your desktop (and therefore your screen) perpendicular to the window (if there is one). If you are facing the window, you will be dazzled. From behind, you will quickly see the reflections.
Good work!
