Some tips to not ruin yourself at Christmas

Christmas Gift

The Christmas holidays are coming… And the gifts too! Beautiful moments in perspective but a little difficult for the wallet especially when you have a long list of gifts to purchase!
Feel free to inspire yourself with some good tips for your wallet!

Make a list (and read after you’ve made it)

Gifts and Christmas tree

To avoid ending up on Christmas Eve with no presents, make a list of all the people you would like to make a present to. Are there people you forget every year? Now is the time to write your list so you don’t end up empty-handed on D-day. It’s also an opportunity to already write down your gift ideas on paper.

Stick to your budget

Set the budget right from the start. Discuss it with your dear partner to make sure you don’t have any trouble in January. This will save you from getting a bad surprise with your credit card bill! Once the total budget is set, determine an amount for each person.
You are probably not going to spend the same amount for your partner and your children as for one of your kids’ teacher or for the postman.

Go through your unwanted emails folder

This is probably the only time of the year you will open one of those emails. You can also hunt for advertising of all kinds to identify bargains, specials, coupons and this might help you to stick to the budget.

Think about common giftChristmas present giving

You want to offer a flat screen to your mom but it clearly goes beyond what you had planned. Ask your brothers and/or sisters for help. It’s so great to be able to give a present together to a loved one.

Small inexpensive gifts

We sometimes think while doing Christmas shopping that we do not spend enough for some of our folks. If there is one moment in the year when the phrase “it is the intention that counts” makes sense, it’s now!
Have a good Christmas shopping, you all!
